We have a certain amount of horses all of different sizes and breeds. Depending on the horses fitness, build and height they can only carry a certain amount of weight – carrying too much weight can cause pain and discomfort to a horse and be in violation of the animal welfare act.
What weight do riders need be?
We can accept up to 10 stone. Our minimum weight is 3 stone
What weight can our horses carry?
We currently have three horses being used in the riding school:
- Penny, our largest horse, she can support from 6st to 10st
- April – 4st to 10st
- Blossom – 3st to 6st
